Yo-Yo Champ Backs Record Bid!
04-Jul-08
A former British Yo-Yo champion 'The Void' has been in Ipswich teaching people how to perfect their yo-yoing skills ahead of the world record breaking attempt on Sunday 27th July.
'The Void' and his awesome, athletic antics thrilled Ipswich shoppers as he gave a theatrical demonstration to passers-by on the Cornhill. He said “Yo-yoing is fun for everyone and most people have picked up a yo-yo at some point in their lives. It is relatively easy to learn the basics and not that difficult to master some eye-catching tricks. I wish Ipswich every success in their bid to break the world record and I encourage people to get involved.''
Paul Clement from Ipswich Central added “It is great to have a real expert in town generating enthusiasm, excitement and anticipation for our big day on the 27th July. A lot of people have already pledged to come along on the day and hopefully get themselves and Ipswich in the record books. However we need as many people involved as possible and anyone can register on our website.''
“Spin”, the Ipswich Central yo-yo world record breaking attempt is in partnership with the New Wolsey Theatre. The Ipswich Central brand is supported by Suffolk County Council and suffolkonboard.com
