Rangers Making a Real Difference

Licensees, youth workers, the council, the police, residents and businesses worked alongside the Ipswich Central Rangers team for the entire day to tidy up the area. Weeds, fast food wrappers and numerous drink cans were removed and the old Barnes building fascia was given a coat of paint to enhance its appearance.

The day was a huge success not only in terms of the work carried out, but also in the way that all parties worked together. Richard Culley, Street Services Co-ordinator for Ipswich Central was really pleased. " I think it is important to give a special mention to the residents that helped out. Noone complained about the hard work involved even though it was a blisteringly hot day."

Pizza Express rewarded all volunteers with refreshments at their Waterfront restaurant at the end of the day.
