International Street Market comes to Ipswich

Due to the success of previous continental markets Ipswich town centre will host a three day International Street Market this Bank Holiday weekend with a wide range of nation’s crafts and foods on offer.

Paul Clement, Executive Director of Ipswich Central said “Past experience has shown us that there is a real market in the town centre for events such as these. This three day event will be bigger, better and more diverse than any staged in the town centre before.”

The market will take place on the Butttermarket on Saturday 24th May 2008 and Cornhill on the Sunday 25thand Monday 26th May 2008. It will provide a unique opportunity to experience the taste, sights and smells of an authentic International Market, along with the opportunity to buy something extra special. The Event will run from 9.00am to 5.30pm each day.

Councillor Richard Atkins’ said "We are very pleased to have helped put this international market together. It will be an attractive addition to the town centre and should bring more people into Ipswich."
