Find out what’s happening locally to make Ipswich Town Centre an even better destination for residents, shoppers, businesses and visitors.

Floral Planters Brighten Town

Over 45 floral planters have sprung up in the centre of town thanks to Ipswich Central’s “Look and Feel” project. The colourful features have been installed by Ipswich Central, the town centre BID company, and can be admired down at the waterfront, outside AXA on Civic Drive, at the bottom of Lloyds Avenue and throughout the main business and retail areas.

Green-fingered Paul Clement from Ipswich Central, seen here watering one of the planters remarked: “It has been a great pleasure to brighten up the town centre by arranging these attractive floral displays throughout the business improvement district. It is the simple, visible enhancements that are working and the feed back we are getting is very positive.”

Debenham’s Store Manager, Neil Roberts commented: “The planters look even better than in previous years and give the whole town centre a real lift. They enhance the shopping and business environment no end and I’m sure are being enjoyed by all town centre users.”

Many standards in the town centre area have noticeably improved in the last three months. The Street Rangers have proved to be an extremely popular addition in the town. New initiatives also cover enhanced cleaning, improved customer safety, crime reduction and a new marketing campaign.
