£500 Cash for 10,000th Car Parked

Car parking in Ipswich Central this Sunday could become a very lucrative and out of the ordinary event. To celebrate the 10,000th car parked free since last May, Ipswich Central is giving away £500 cash (to be spent in Ipswich on the day) to the lucky car owner. One of biggest initiatives launched by Ipswich Central, the town centre BID company, in its first year started in May 2007. Free car parking is available on the first Sunday of every month at the NCP car parks at Cox Lane and Tacket Street.

Paul Clement, Executive Director of Ipswich Central believes that this cash incentive will bring more people than ever into town. Paul said: “Free parking benefits both those visiting the town centre and people already using Ipswich regularly. We are very positive about making our town centre more accessible by providing free parking for the first Sunday every month.”
