The largest is the Regent Theatre. Opened in 1929, the Regent seats 1,781 and provides entertainment to 130,000 patrons on average each year.

The New Wolsey
The New Wolsey is a 400-seat theatre in the heart of the town, with a lively and varied programme of drama, music, comedy, poetry, dance and children's shows.
Throughout the year it hosts top quality touring productions, produces a phenomenally successful rock 'n' roll pantomime and co-produces drama and musical theatre with other regional theatres nationally. It also hosts Pulse, an annual fringe festival which showcases new and emerging talent.
The New Wolsey Café Bar serves a delicious range of simple snack meals together with wines, beers and a selection of hot and cold drinks for you to enjoy before the show.

Corn Exchange
The Grand Hall in Ipswich’s Corn Exchange is used for live shows by touring companies and local groups, keep fit, discos, dances and dinners, plus an annual beer festival in September.

Based at Sir John Mills Theatre, the Eastern Angles is the regional touring company for East Anglia. Throughout the year it tours Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and beyond, returning to its base in Ipswich for its popular 7 week run Christmas show.
