A Business Improvement District (BID) is an arrangement under which local businesses plan and deliver additional improvements to benefit their own trading environment. These additional services are funded through a levy and delivered by a private-sector run company representing the local stakeholders.
Ipswich Central became the town centre's BID company and the UK's 30th. The projects that the BID will be delivering over five years are grouped under six distinct themes detailed in the Business Plan and prospectus.
