A Business Improvement District (BID) is an arrangement under which local businesses plan and deliver additional improvements to benefit their own trading environment. These additional services are funded through a levy and delivered by a private-sector run company representing the local stakeholders.
Ipswich Central became the town centre's BID company and the UK's 30th.
Ipswich Central, the town centre Business Improvement District (BID) Company, began a period of major consultation with business stakeholders at an Action Planning workshop in January. Mindful of its commitments under the BID proposal, Ipswich Central is also aware that change is now necessary to tackle the town centre’s new priorities.
